Mark joined All Weather Capital as Operations Manager and Fund Accountant in October 2014, shortly after the firm’s launch. He has since advanced to the role of Chief Operating Officer, where he oversees operational functions, fund accounting, and key administrative responsibilities that support the firm’s growth and compliance. His contributions have been integral to All Weather Capital’s development into a prominent black-controlled and managed asset manager with significant assets under management across hedge fund and long-only mandates.
Prior to joining All Weather Capital, Mark worked at Barclays Capital as Senior Assistant Vice President for eight months, focusing on Product Control for the New York trading desk. Before that, he spent five and a half years at Capricorn Hedge Fund Managers as Fund Accountant. Earlier in his career, he gained valuable operational experience, including leading a complex Change of Administrator project at Capricorn (April 2011 – March 2012), where he evaluated administrators and middle-office systems, managed stakeholder reviews, and oversaw a seamless transition to BNY Mellon while ensuring accurate NAV reconciliation and parallel runs.
Mark is a diligent and adaptable professional with strong expertise in financial operations, fund accounting, and hedge fund administration. He is bilingual in English and Afrikaans and brings a commitment to operational excellence that supports All Weather Capital’s investment team and client-focused initiatives. He also serves as the firm’s Information Officer.
